Design Strategy
Nomad Novels is all about bringing a mobile bookstore concept directly into local community market spaces. To capture that movement, I developed a clean, modern logomark that ensures high legibility from a distance on physical vehicle signage, alongside a simplified animated version to keep the digital touchpoints dynamic. The earthy, approachable colour system is designed to look inviting in outdoor settings, making it a flexible visual language for a brand that is highly mobile but deeply structured.

Process & Ideation
When brainstorming logo ideas, I kept coming back to the feeling that reading is both a journey and a place of comfort. I was really drawn to old physical books with their texture, warmth and sense of history. I wanted the brand to feel grounded, familiar, and safe. This is what led me to using the earthy browns and colours of classical books in the moodboard, bringing together a mix that feels warm, inviting and completely right for a travelling bookstore.

Digital Scamping:
During the digital scamping phase, I wanted to reinforce the ideas of travel and discovery from my initial mind map. I used this stage to experiment with incorporating a compass symbol within the "O" in the word "NOVELS" to represent direction, journey, and exploration. This process allowed me to play around with different layouts and icon choices to ensure the design felt balanced, showing that readers can explore new worlds while still feeling completely at home.
